Presentation Description: Presenters representing different work settings will demonstrate how they have adapted the material from the program “Enriching Your Relationship with Yourself and Others”* to various populations. Adaptations include programs developed: through the Internet; for high school students dealing with anger issues; for college students wanting to be successful life-long learners; and for training social service staff. You will sample exercises from these programs and be invited to envision other ways to apply the program. *The basic Enriching Program training will be available free of charge prior to the conference via email. Presenters: Diane Eisenberg incorporates the program, Enriching Your Relationship with Yourself and Others, as she trains and supervises over 100 peer-tutors as Tutor Administrator at Chapman University. She also integrates the principles of the program while she designs and teaches strategies for student success to individuals and groups of college students.
Kim E Fuller, MFT is Director of Outpatient Services at The HELP Group; a non-profit agency in Los Angeles providing therapeutic services to severely emotionally disturbed children and their families. HELP is community based, providing services in the home, school and/or community of client families. A Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Kim has facilitated training with agency clinical staff helping them tap internal resources and gain new insights.
Duane Osterlind, MS, is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in private practice in Southern California. He focuses on treating individuals with chemical and behavioral addictions, and sexual compulsiveness. Duane is a certified trainer in the Enriching Program and creator of the Enriching program for the Internet.
Maria Traver, MS, conducts trainings in the Six Steps “Enriching the Relationship with Yourself and Others.” An Orange Coast College counselor, Puente Project coordinator, and study skills and personal development instructor, Maria promotes higher education and life-long learning to students by applying the Six Steps to build confidence, understanding and effective communication within the college atmosphere, their families and the community.
