Presentation Description

We will explore 1) how to know yourself more deeply, 2) what you really want from an intimate relationship, 3) what The Satir Growth Model has to offer in deepening an intimate relationship, and, 4) for therapists, how to integrate these tools with couples in couples therapy. The workshop will include a lecture, demonstrations and to practice what you are learning. Newcomers to The Satir Growth Model can benefit.

 

Objectives:

  • Describe the steps for self understanding (in a deep way)

  • Identify what they really want from intimate relationships.

  • Analyze the tools, process within the Satir Model that help in deepening relationship.

Presenter:

Sandy Novak, MS, MA, LPC, SEP, is a couples and family therapist in private practice in Colorado. She is adjunct faculty at Naropa University, teaching counseling psychology to Masters students. She teaches The Satir Growth Model in North America, Europe, and Asia and is the founder and director of training of the Satir Institute of the Rockies.
