Are you ever plagued by writer’s block? Would you like writing to be more fun? Would writing help you build credibility, explore your creative side or inspire others to become more fully human? Naomi, a prolific author, will help you transform writing woes into writing wows. Whether you’ve published extensively or you get stuck on page one—find writing a joy and a challenge, or a chore, this session will boost your confidence and energize you to write more, better, sooner, NOW!

 

Objectives:

  • Explain the steps for building confidence in your ability to start writing -- and finish what you started

  • Identify tips and techniques that will help them to avoid writing traps and help to write more fluently.

  • Analyze different exercises that could bring ideas and creative energy in their writing.

Method of Conducting the Session:

This will be a lively, interactive workshop that includes presentation, discussion, writing activities, reflection, and commitment-building -- and the opportunity to meet others who relate to your writing challenges.

Presenter:

Naomi Karten draws from psychology degrees, technical and management experience, and intensive Satir Growth Model training to help organizations manage customer expectations, improve communication skills, strengthen teamwork and build win-win relationships. Her books include Communication Gaps and How to Close Them, which introduces Satir concepts, models, and techniques to people in organizational settings.
