Presentation Description: A straightforward, fast-paced, cognitive and experiential introductory or refresher course on the "bones" of The Satir Growth Model. You will explore the belief system, concepts, tools, creative applications, and effects of process driven outcomes. Led by a triad of friends/colleagues with 40 years combined individual experience in studying, teaching, and living The Satir Growth Model, you will learn beliefs as a foundation for The Satir Growth Model, defense stances and ways to transform them into congruence and why self-esteem is a basis for becoming more fully human. By the end of the day you will begin to have a holographic understanding of The Satir Growth Model.

Presenters: Sheri Browning, MA, LCSW is a Licensed Social Worker with 30 years counseling experience. She has studied, taught and used The Satir Growth Model personally and professionally since 1991. She was a three-year participant, then staff member for several years with Jean McLendon in her Yearlong Training in The Satir Growth Model. Sheri is currently a counselor and Reiki practitioner in an alternative medical practice in West Virginia.
Bill Davis, LCSW has been practicing and teaching The Satir Growth Model since 1991. This prompted a long-term association with Jean McLendon and the Satir Institute of the Southeast. Bill developed the concept of the Satir Hologram, which, with additional input from Jean McLendon, is a comprehensive way of looking at the whole of Satir Growth Model elements in relationship with each other. Bill is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Chapel Hill, NC.
Regina L. Ragan, MA is a licensed clinical social worker. Trained in The Satir Growth Model at the Year Long Practitioner Development Workshop in Chapel Hill, she has worked in settings including hospice and community mental health. Cross-cultural work with children, adolescents and families has taken her to Hong Kong, Tajikistan and Azerbaijan. Regina has a full-time psychotherapy practice. She is Executive Director of Satir Institute of the Southeast.
