Keynote Description: 

Psychotherapy at its best is a dynamic, symbol-drama of change the imperative of which is, "By living this experience, you will be different." Experiential change was central to the work of Virginia Satir and Milton Erickson. Jeff Zeig will present his version of experiential methods in a live demonstration.

 

Objectives:

  • Evaluate psychotherapy as dynamic, symbol-drama of change.

  • Identify the change process as central to the work of Virginia Satir

  • Assess the experiential method / in live demonstration as teaching process.

Jeffrey K. Zeig, Ph.D. is Founder/Director of Milton H. Erickson Foundation, architect of The Evolution of Psychotherapy Conferences, on the Editorial Board of numerous journals, Fellow of American Psychological Association and American Society of Clinical Hypnosis, Distinguished Practitioner in Psychology of the National Academies of Practice and an Approved Supervisor of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy. He has edited or authored 20+ books on psychotherapy.
