Presentation Description: Virginia Satir gave us the gift of her model of how change takes place. The Satir Change Model describes: the major stages of a change; transition between stages; effects of each stage on feelings, thinking, performance and physiology; and helpful and harmful interventions during each stage. Going beyond intellectual understanding, you will climb inside the model to experience how you personally feel, think and perform during each stage. You will hear others’ experiences and explore constructive interventions to nurture change.

Becky Winant has spent over 30 years working with software programs, which are easy to understand compared to the people who build them, want them, fund them and use them. She has observed how people and organizations resist, accept, reject and even become comfortable with change, and continues to learn how Satir’s models and beliefs help her be more effective in providing assistance to others and meeting their expectations.
